…forward on an unexpected entry: The Death of actor Heath Ledger
28 years gone and once upon a time, there was a man on the road to a new kind of famous. Starring as the next Joker in the Batman Begins sequel, “The Dark Knight.” He was a father. He was a young man finding his own. Now?
Dead.
How does this happen? The “jury” is still out waiting on the M.E.’s reasoning for his death, but all my mind keeps repeating is that today’s day, today’s society, today’s…way of life had become too much. Hell, it is for me every once and again, but herein lies the difference: I didn’t lead the life he did. Famous? Nah. A parent? Not yet. Immense pressure to succeed in the dog fight known as
Heath wasn’t my favorite actor, nor a “role model” of any sorts, but a voice unspoken seemed to emanate from him and that, more often than not was all it took to capture this girls imagination. Spin me around, throw me into controversy and flip my beliefs on their hunched backs, I don’t care; so long as I am a part of this characters false identity.
And Heath brought that to me. I felt the agonizing weight of a love never meant to be in Brokeback Mountain, and remember his memorable performance in The Patriot, whether it was a favoring role to his talents or not. He fell into his characters, and for a brief moment in time, I was a believer in who he wasn’t. I have a sinking sense of sadness now attached to him, and I sincerely hope it’s not just me. He was beautiful (now looking back to all that he was) and a face you hoped to see many years on.
A part of me aches to hear the truth of what caused his untimely sunset, and yet another piece of me begs it wasn’t a catalyst easily avoidable during everyday life. If it should turn out that an overdose (sleeping pills) was in absolute fact and result of his death, my heart screams that it was nothing more than a terrible accident. Perhaps he was working late, out too long, needed to sleep when his mind yearned to remain steadily awake; whatever the reason behind why he is now lying cold in complete darkness and I’m here writing for his name, I hope his life wasn’t ended in vain.
My heart bleeds for the family left behind, and my deepest sympathy is sent out in this, my simple homage to a man I’ve never even known.

Very well written, love. I can totally relate on the death of certain actors leaving you in a state of disbelief. This is a crazy world in which we live.
These are beautiful words for him and his family, though. Much better and more tasteful than some of the other crap being written about him.
